Dr. Emily Kay-Rivest is an ENT surgeon specializing in otology and skull base surgery (neurotology). Her expertise includes the treatment of a wide variety of ear problems (cholesteatoma, perforations, ossicular problems, otosclerosis), cochlear implants for hearing loss, as well as skull base tumors (vestibular schwannomas, meningiomas).
Dr. Kay-Rivest completed her medical studies and residency at McGill University. She then completed a two-year fellowship in otology and neurotology at New York University, where she gained extensive experience in skull base surgery and complex cochlear implants. Her research interests include cochlear implantation in the elderly and understanding factors that can help maximize cochlear implant performance at any age.
