Dr. Yang earned her medical degree at McGill University, followed by Internal Medicine residency training at Université de Montréal. She returned to McGill for subspecialty postgraduate fellowship training in Adult Endocrinology and Metabolism. Her interest in thyroid disease led Dr. Yang to pursue further clinical and research training with a thyroid fellowship at the University of Toronto.
