Dr. Saul Frenkiel is Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at McGill University and a distinguished leader in his field. He completed his medical degree at McGill University in 1971, followed by residency and fellowship training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Frenkiel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS-C) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology. He served as Chairman of the McGill University Department from 2002 to 2014 and has held significant leadership roles, including President of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Executive Committee member of the Association d’otorhinolaryngologie-cervico-faciale du Québec. Renowned as a pioneer in endoscopic sinus surgery in Canada, Dr. Frenkiel has contributed over 150 publications, co-authored national guidelines, and received numerous awards for his research and clinical excellence. His current research focuses on the molecular pharmacology and genetics of cystic fibrosis.
